I am far from a Perkins apologist, but give the guy a break. Not only is it early, but he has been absolutely blasted from all angles the past two games, with a non-existant defense in front of him. If we don't drop a fourth back, there's little he can do.

Carroll to the bench, Fred on the field, 4 in the back, and a goalkeeping upgrade would be a good start (perkins' apologists I'm sure will tell me he had another solid game though, the goals weren't his fault, and he's the best goalie in the league). Fortunately, it is still early. We also have Emilio, who looks even better than Roy. I think he gets the record this year. He is cold fuckin blooded...

Matt Y is correct. Think Moreno would be more valuable coming in at 70' with something to prove than trying to pace himself for the full 90.

And Matt Y is correct about the other stuff too. The 'rightful perch' bs needs to be flushed. I'll confess that I've bought into it too, but that's over. United have proved nothing so far this season except that they can't defend, can't pass, can't keep possession.

In the offseason, we were thinking this might be a transition year, and that early estimation is looking more and more apt. But transition into what?

The players, coaches and fans all bought into that excuse.

DC is the one team that every other team measures themselves against...and the players and coaches need to be ready for a tough game every match.

We can't make excuses..take games off...and not expect to pay for it.

DC doesn't look sharp...I blame most of this on the players...some on Soehn for not sticking a boot up their rear or doing whatever was needed to get the spark back.

Time to bench Moreno...put Fred in and see how that works.

At least we have 2 weeks to search souls (Cowlumbus is the 28th). Hope that is enough time for Bobby to realize he's an MLS defender not a webmaster, Brian Carroll to get to Oz and find his brain, and the rest of the team to realize that you have to keep the other team from scoring more goals that you to win a game.
