Brave Prediction on Thursday Night Soccer

With all the hype about this game, it is inevitable - Tonight's game will disappoint most neutral viewers. While both teams will have chances, it will mostly be a cagey affair that treads dangerously close to dull. Low scoring affair, think 1-0 or 1-1, maybe 2-1 on the outside. Hopefully the visitors win. But expect to hear a lot of kvetching about the game tomorrow from all of those whose hopes were for some super-classic match.

You call that a brave prediction?

Here's a brave prediction:

15-13, DCU. Perkins retires from league competition 60 minutes into the match. Maykel Galindo sidelined for 3-4 weeks with an inflamed kicking toe. Wynalda chokes out Smyth in the announcing booth after the 117th uttering of, "Onion bag."

Weren't there a bunch of predictions for a cagey match for the FCD-DCU affair? and we all know how that truned out. I predict tonight's result will be unpredictable.

Okay, both of those are more entertaining predictions than mine. I think I'm just depressed at the moment. Come game time, I should be more psyched.

It's a late game. Plenty of time to lubricate your psyche between now and then...

;)

Vamos United!

We each taunt soccer gods in our own individual ways.

"brave prediction" - awesome!

I would have added that we might see a late substitution for Fred by a kangaroo in a Fred jersey.
