Quick US/DC Thought
Anyone else think that the US team is playing like the 06' United early in the season? Get a goal or two early, don't press the game, end up hanging on and bunkering for dear life. Is this Nowak's influence or are the finishers just not there for the US?

I think we lack finishers. I think Bradley just killed EJ's confidence (again) by not starting him early in the tournament. Twellman has never been a scorer on the national team. Ching has been in a funk all season. Dempsey is not a prototypical forward. I hope Jozy Altidore gets a chance soon.
I wouldn't put EJ's confidence problems on Bradley... I've heard of up and down confidence but geez... The guy tears up the international competition then goes cold, the guy goes cold in MLS then goes on a tear. Realize that strikers are streaky but I like my strikers to be cold hearted, cheeky and always shooting. In short, consistent finishers. Not seeing that with EJ and I'm not sure its Bradley's fault. EJ produces and he'll be out there, end of story.
