Is it Emilio? YES, IT IS

I hate doing link and run posts, but this is intriguing enough to warrant it. Goff says he's heard that your MLS MVP is... Luciano Emilio.

UPDATE: Just got word from some folks we trust, it is Emilio. As in 100% sure. Yes, we're second on this, but at least we can confirm the rumors.

ANOTHER UPDATE: The official announcement is up. Congratulations to Emilio. Now for your next trick, go win us some silverware we can drink beer out of.

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard Garber accidentally slipped in a "Emilio's the MVP" comment in the "MLS is making strides" portion of the Seattle press conference.

So two consecutive seasons with the MLS MVP? I don't know, I would trade them both in for a 5th Cup.

Brian: You mean like we did in 2004 with Moreno? I can't believe the Metros took that deal. What were they thinking?

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking about. :)

Then again, the Metros seem to do the unexpected, like screw up at every chance they get.

if Metro screws up every chance they get, is that not by definition the creation of expected circumstances?

oh, and the DCenters readership wants SopCast coverage of Kino going off on a mazy during the Supporter's Cup tourney...

Unfortunately, you can't drink beer out of the MLS Cup...there's that soccerball-thingy in the way.

I second that emotion, though.
